Oleg Cross – Trust, Estate and Probate Litigator
Oleg Cross is Certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Cross is a graduate of Duke University School of Law. He has received the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards (“AV Preeminent”) from the Martindale Hubbell® peer review rating service. In addition, he has been included in “Super Lawyers” since 2013.
His practice focuses on trust administration, particularly with an advisory view toward avoiding controversies. He also represents clients in select estate and trust controversies. Mr. Cross has also served as an expert witness in the area of estate planning law.
His trial experience includes both bench and jury trials. Mr. Cross also handles select appeals, and is counsel of record in Haggerty v. Thornton, 15 Cal.5th 729 (2024).
Mr. Cross is admitted to practice before all California courts, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, United States Tax Court, United States District Courts for the Central, Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
With extensive trial and appellate experience — including counsel of record in the California Supreme Court’s landmark decision Haggerty v. Thornton (2024) — Mr. Cross is recognized as a leading voice in trust and estate law.
